Two Kids Crawled through their Deceased Mother's Blood to Seek Assistance; Stepfather has been Charged with Murder in Georgia

Authorities report that two young children, aged two and five, had to crawl through their mother’s blood to seek assistance after she was tragically shot and killed.

Laquana Lang, 27, lost her life on Saturday at a residence in Augusta, Georgia. Davante Parks, 26, has been charged with the murder of Lang, with whom he is believed to have had a relationship.

A man is currently in custody at Richmond County Jail facing charges that include one count of murder, two counts of first-degree cruelty to children, and possession of a firearm or knife during the commission of a crime, as well as possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, as stated in jail records.

Documents acquired by WRDW disclosed the shocking details surrounding the murder.

After the shooting incident, Lang’s two young children were found alone with her body for over four hours. The children ultimately made their way through a pool of her blood in search of assistance.

Police have identified Parks, who is thought to be their stepfather, as the shooter.

Lang was shot at 4 am and was declared dead at 11:06 am by the Richmond County Coroner’s Office.

A shooting incident occurred just under two months following Parks’ release on parole for the shooting of Brittney McKie in May 2016, as stated in an arrest warrant from that period. According to the initial deputy report, McKie sustained injuries to her right arm, right thigh, left middle finger, and “possibly her genitals.”

Parks faced charges of aggravated assault and firearm possession during a crime and entered a guilty plea.
